Maiden tower sunset time
Bettina enjoying a cozy golden sunset moment

Walking towards the sunset at Maidens Tower. The construction of the tower is followed by many different legends. One of the stories is about an emperor who built the tower for his beloved daughter. To protect her from her prophesied fate of dying on her 18 birthday by a poisoned snake. However he couldn't protect her from her fate, thus the name Maidens Tower. But mostly it was built to be a customs station for ships approaching from the Black Sea.

Every city every town has its pulse. The heartbeat of all living beings vibrates through the veins of the places. Ending up to one harmony, filling our hearts with a melody. The impressions stick in our memories like a song.

Waking up in Istanbul colored with the cawing from the seagulls flying above the rooftops accompanied with the early call for prayer from the next neighboring mosque.

Stepping outside into a vibrant heartbeat of the city. The streets are filled with markets, restaurants, and small food carts. Following the lead to the seashore to embrace the fresh wind kissing softly your face. Taking the ferry to the other side changed a continent in one blink while having a hot Turkish coffee on the deck.

On the other side, the silhouettes of the fishermen appear. Standing next to the sea trying to catch fish and having a chat. Dazzling through the streets, a woman approaches to sell some flowers. Enjoy a beautiful sunset with an amazing view of the historical side of Istanbul. Thus ending the day in the lively alleys with some games to win.
